Guido won't cynically evade akward questions to avoid public scrutiny because that would fuel further cynicism with blogging and bloggers... right?

When I was doing my degree in Critical Theory and Lesbian Studies, I spent one holiday working on the telephone help-line for two rental firms. To the outside world, the firms were arch rivals, but in fact they were owned by the same company and the same technicians used to do repairs for both. We had to keep this quiet, because it sometimes happened that customers with firm X would get angry at the service provided by the technicians and switch to firm Y. Watching the current state of British politics, I have a strong sense of déjà vu...

Talking of awkward questions, Guido, what happened to your promise on Wednesday:
"Tomorrow :
Guido will be exposing evidence of how the Brownite Smith Institute's "Cash for Access" machine became a "Payments for Policy" racket - with Gordon Brown delivering the policy.
Guido will name the the donor the institute's director, Wilf Stevenson, told at a Smith Institute meeting "what you are going to say will have a great impact on the government's thinking" - two months before Gordon announced the policy change wanted. "
forget hassling 'Dave'.... the big story , yet again is the contempt that the Government has for the truth and for Parliament. Surely that zombodic Speaker will eventually realise this and insist on answers being provided.

Guido, you cynically evaded my question and in doing so gave me my answer. Thank you.

Why try to turn this into an attack on Cameron, Guido?
Let's see what he's like when he gets into power.
In the meantime the sleaziest, most dishonest, bent, Government in years is still in office and taking the piss every day.
And even worse is to come if/when Brown takes over.
Guido lost the vote last night on 18DS and Iain Dale's diary came out on top for content.
Prisoners voting rights consultation paper produced by the DCA is another dodgy document.
The problem with the government putting a spin on the facts, is that this hard hitter knows the truth and can expose the lies for what they are.
It was a mistake to go to the electorate for a vote of confidence on this issue. The House of Cards has fallen. That is, I have brought down the government. Or, to be more precise, the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs and Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer of Thoroton has.
Oh get real.... had a look at the dossier and the staus of a number of these questions say they have been answered. The porn star of the same name would probably have done better research.

Well done at pointing at Dave!
He's as bad as Tony - its just he hasn't got the connections in place yet. Wait til he realises he needs to get his pension in order! He'll be worse than Tony - unless of course he is actually a Libertarian in a heavy disguise!
Thought the Anonimongs knew this blog isn't a public service and so don't need to be accountable?!

I personally couldn't give a flying fuck if Cameron's a wet, superficial, pussy-footing, cardboard cut-out. I just want to see the back of this bunch of traitorous spivs, crooks, and stalinists who have been trashing the country for the past 9 years.

hedgy 9.47 has the point. It is surely for the speaker (in theory a servant of the House, not the government) to insist that ministers answer questions, written or oral. Obviously Gorbals Mick is not up to the job but the next Speaker could, and should, impose a much more rigorous discipline.

Got held over by events yesterday. Coming today...
Sounds like a fair excuse to me.

Anonymong,
It seemed like a rhetorical question. But you are quite right, Guido asks but doesn't answer questions.
Anonymong! What a terribly insentive thing to say! I'd be all full of faux outrage if I thought it would do any good.
But thanks for acknowledging that you are a hypocrite. Knowing that you have a problem is the first step toward recovery.
Anonymong,
Whatever.
Occasional Ranter,
Brown/Sith - am going to hold it over for a few days more - something interesting has come in.
"nearly a thousand questions that Labour has refused answer"
What's your real name, Guido?
