I don't think Prescott has reached the point at which he has to resign yet because I haven't heard Blair expressing his full confidence in him.
Has anybody trawled through the archives to come up with some amusing comments that Prescott made about Conservative sexual sleaze in the mid-90's?

Pitiful Today prog showing from Prezza - why bleat about allegations regarding affairs, and then refuse to deny the affairs? What a clot. So now it's transparently obvious that he HAS had numerous other affairs...
And what the hell part does cattle ranching play in his cabinet remit? Are they going to fence in Hull and fill it with Texas longhorns? We can only hope. Nice work Guido.

Someone did just that when Prescott was found to have been shagging that one we know about. Full of moral indignation, the lard-arse was.
If he did resign, would anybody know? Apart from evading Harumphry's repeated question "did you bang anyone else?" the lard-arse went on a rampage through the English language, leaving a trail of devastation. There were times when I genuinely didn't know wtf he was going on about.

Frank Fisher - I've apologised many, many times for my home city inflicting Prescott upon the nation, and I humbly prostrate myself once again. I would ask everyone not to judge us too harshly, but there really is no excuse.
I wonder whether, once Blair expresses his full support for Mr Prescott and therefore Prezza has to resign, we will see the memoirs of John Prescott being published. I would say that I would love to read them, but I reckon they would be completely incoherent and ultimately pointless, self serving nonsense. Not unlike the man himself, really.

Am I the only one that thinks it is somewhat unfair for Guido to keep raising the Rebecca Loos/Beckham affair? Beckham made a mistake, said sorry, and has moved on. As far as I can make out, he isnt a serial adulterer, nor is he leeching the taxpayer nor is proposing to pave over the entire south of England.
So, can we ease off Becks, in the wake of the world cup, and just give him a break? I am sure , Guido, that you have far juicier and more deserving targets.
Thanks.

To finally nail the 'Big Barsteward'someone needs to closely look into all his dealings with Bechtel. He grand-fathered Bechtel into UK Nuclear Government contracts with LMU, then NDA as well as Government contracts for Bechtel for the Channel Tunnel Link, West Coast Electrification and the Jubilee Line extension. Why are these rumours not being investigated? In each case, he, or the ODPM rode roughshod over public competition rules -why?
I look forward to Pollard ghosting Prescott's memoirs

I think Wee Willy Prescott's insistance that's he'll still be DPM at the end of this year is an act of political self-delusion that cannot have been equalled since Adolf sat before a map table in his bunker and ordered around entire armies that had long ceased to exist.
It'll all end in tears. I trust.

I'm sure Blair would love to be rid of him but that would mean a deputy leadership election. The Old Labour voters he's supposed to appeal to must be sick of him by now. What use does he have?

The odds shown on the Betfair website for the winner of the Super Casino Licence list Blackpool as favourite (1.63) and Greenwich as 2nd favorite (5.5). Should we ask Prezza how many meetings he had had with the owner of the Blackpool site? I don't know if he has but it might be worth asking. After all he could have had an excuse to visit the Pleasure beach and reminisce his childhood in the same way he was a western/cowboy fan. I understand the owner of blackpool is also a billionaire so maybe an obvious attraction for Prezza.

I thought your bloggers may be interested in a little known piece of New Labour History. It is hardly surprising that many New Labour ministers are so enamoured with important people in America. I believe that New labour became an embryonic political entiny in that Great Country, shortly after the American Civil War. In those days the party was affectionately known as "carpetbaggers". Please somebody correct me if I have interprted my history wrong (I have probably had a New Labour schooling).

This is private property. Guido deletes idiots, agent provocateurs and anyone he feels like. Mostly he is deleting people who could get him a writ.
Get your own blog and attract your own writs. Guido has enough on his plate.
