This action by the Murdoch media is a disgrace as is the legal system.
I have nothing but contempt for a legal system that protects this man so that he can destroy the lives of others.
He merits maximum exposure.

Bravo.
Ten years of entrapment and the broadsheet 'papers never found the guts to do this. Don't feel so bad about lining up alongside egregious George. He fractures the consensus: my enemy's enemy is my friend.

Your a f***** star kiddo! I hate to blow sunshine up anybody (for less than £80) but Over the last two weeks of reading your blog....ill quit before becoming syrupy, If I win the lottery tonight I will send you a case of Margaux, so chances are you will still be on the Blossom Creek tomorrow. Hows about we all go piss through the Farrer letterbox this evening?
It's an interim injunction pending a full hearing as to whether his picture can be published, needed because any subsequent action to restrain those publicising him would otherwise be pointless.
The extension will merely be pending the resolution of the hearing going on at the RCJ at the moment.
"Earlier this year he was said to have received a death threat in which a £100,000 contract was put on his life". (bbc.co.uk 2002).
Quite convenient that an alleged death threat keeps his face out of the public domain. Meanwhile, MM's face shows up cached on google images, but it looks like Farrer have scared off the other hosts.

Sorry, as I say on my blog won't anybody he's stitched up know what he looks like *anyway*? If he's received a death threat they can clealy get in touch with him: how is a little picture going to make matters worse?
All it means is potential targets of his may recognise him before his stings!
Please will somebody (Guido) tell us all what grounds were given in securing this Order from the High Court? What line of arguement has been deployed to protect the identity of this charlatan? Does Mr Justice Mitting have a history of this sort of thing? Is he in their pay?
The story and scandal here is not that we/you have been released from this Order but that an Order was ever secured in the first place.
Whoops sorry. I did try to read all the other comments but got carried away.
Death threats. Sort of reasonable but hey, live by the sword - die by the sword.
That mad Irish bloke off the telly who makes BBC programmes revealing gangsters, Mc something, He gets death threats all the time but you don't see him running to the Courts. Comes with the territory really.

Guido....have you considered suing NOTW for "Abuse of Process" for bringing this shameful thing to Court? What a bunch of tossers...I'd be willing to give a couple of quid towards a "Guido screws the Screws" legal fund!!!

Picture now hosted at Image Shack, not a UK site either, oh well.
Well done, Guido, for resisting the forces of repression, but ... for the record, has the fake Sheik ever snared anyone who wasn't stupid, greedy, self-deluded or all three? Is he actually a bad thing? (Obviously George Galloway is none of these, as he didn't bite.)
Starlets who turned tricks out of desperation seems cruel. People who smoked a joint don't deserve to be turned over by the Screws either.

Mazher Mahmood entrapped a minor TV actor, John Alford, into getting him a couple of grams of coke and a bit of puff, for which Alford was sentenced to *nine months* in prison. Mahmood sets up the kind of z-listers that his tabloid readers would have heard of rather than exposing real criminals and corruption. This outing is long overdue. Now, will the broadsheets have the balls to expose his methods ?
That photo's not been added via blogger's add photo feature has it? Oh deary me.
http://www.searchenginejournal.com/?p=2983
Anyway, while I'm here, can someone tell me the process for gaining an injunction to prevent photos of that tedious arse out of coldplay appearing in any publication. Thank you.
Not sure that hosting your pictures abroad is enough to avoid an injunction if you are personally subject to the jurisdiction of the court (unless you're adopting the defence that the court has no jurisdiction over 400 year old dead terrorists). I presume that the injuction would have been issued on the basis that publicising the sheikh's identity would amount to a restraint of trade - although much could be said about imprisoning a career burglar.

So let me get this straight. This character makes his living exposing the sordid secrets of no-name brand celebrities (the sort who think it an acheivement to be asked to open a new branch of Poundsaver).
These are hardly the kind of people with access to Spetznaz trained hitmen.
Or has he really done some proper "investigative journalism"?

Hows about we all go piss through the Farrer letterbox this evening?
Now we all know your called Ron McKay
But you never removed the photo Guido.
It has been there all the time.
And the injunction has been extended until 5pm.
So you are now and have been in contempt of court all day.
Oh ,your not ron mckay
as a concerned citizen im reporting you for contempt
Guido you seem to be not only guilty of contempt but also of webmongdom
"Now we all know your called Ron McKay"
I think you'll find Mr McKay is the Georgeous One's wee sidekick of many years while Guido goes under the name of P--- S-----.
Pete Sampras?!?
I think it's number 4, Mark
Erm as Google host the image its google who are breaking the law.
Also as Google is hosted outside the UK they would need a seperate injunction to make them remove it.
I think....
Cunning plan...host the image on as many non UK servers...
http://i2.tinypic.com/t0gpdl.jpg
elude, p... s....
peter stringfellow?
ha ha ha ha ha ha
I think you'll find that it's highly unlikely he's had notice of any alleged extension... ;o)
hmmmmmmmm
Payne stewart ?
the US golfer who supposedly died in a freak air accident but in reality set up a weblog?
Patrick Swayze? Peter Sutclife? Patti Smith?
Meanwhile, back at the plot, can anyone with a more recent / deeper legal background explain how on earth the NOTW can get a writ of that sort?
It's an interim injunction pending a full hearing as to whether his picture can be published, needed because any subsequent action to restrain those publicising him would otherwise be pointless.

...though the NotW would need some pretty stunning evidence to be successful in my book!
Ah, bit of digging found this:

An article about the fake Sheik.
Personally I think it's very lazy and over-sensational journalism ... no wonder he gets on so well at the News Of The World.
Sorry, as I say on my blog won't anybody he's stitched up know what he looks like *anyway*? If he's received a death threat they can clealy get in touch with him: how is a little picture going to make matters worse?

Surely his greatest con has been in convincing News of the World readers he's a real journalist?
"Injunction" has been extended until 4pm tommorow (Thurs)
As for another friend of Murdoch, enjoy this:

Fuck off Farrers!
I almost spilled my glass of wine...
Regards,
David Farrer (No relation)
Farrers representing the fake sheik and also the Queen - can this be true? If so its a head on conflict of interest or so one would have thought.
Which client will Farrer's sack?
