Respect to Oaten where it's due.

Thank heavens Oaten's career hasn't gone entirely down the pan.

Not just Oaten, but Kennedy too (though the former has a somewhat higher, uh, embarassment factor).

Despite two others being missing (Dunfermline?) that impressive whipping from the boy Stunnell. Guess all those post-Oaten confessions are coming in handy...

The reknown sensitivity of the middle class academic liberal left. Strong beleif in such progressive abstract notions as "freedom of speech" but who cares about millions of people facing discrimination, abuse and hatred as a result of poor community relations.

The real racists out there have one arm tied behind their back on this issue because of racial hatred laws, the state has the other hand tied behind its back fighting because it can't prosecute on the grounds of inciting religious hatred. I know who I would rather allow to have both hands.

Anyone shocked to see Galloway go for the anti-liberty option? He does have a long record of supporting those who like to squash people's liberty.

Oaten has a lot of guts and is a hero for coming back to vote. Good on him.

Interestingly, Galloway was anti-ban on hunting.

I think he just likes being controversial...
