Can I just say that if Clegg stands, and if he wins, and if the Lib Dems are resurgent and pose any sort of threat to the Conservatives at this or any other election - IT WILL BE OUR OWN BLOODY FAULT.
What on earth are we all doing? We should be desperately trying to woo him across the floor not promoting him into a very threatening position.
Clegg will look a fool if he runs now having turned down Paddy Ashdown's entreaties and made it clear he's supporting Martina (Hingis/Mingis). But he does have a very full head of hair though...
